The popularity and low barrier to entry of open mics means that for many poets, spoken word is their way into writing and sharing poetry. But spoken word is by its nature ephemeral. So what are your options if you want a piece to continue after you perform it? And what do you need to consider if you’re thinking about publishing spoken word in the written form?
