Words and Wine
Celebrate the start of the weekend by raising a glass with us! Joe Trotter from Edinburgh’s independent wine merchants Great Grog will take you through a tempting array of wines, sharing each drink’s story and history. Each wine will be poetically paired with a performance by acclaimed spoken word poet Kate Ireland.
Kate Ireland’s work, which spans poetry, music and theatre, captures the zeitgeist. She has performed headline shows across the UK, and her debut poetry collection, Adaptive Strategies for a Sensitive System, is newly out with Burning Eye Books.
This event is for 18+ only and ticket price covers the drinks (and poetry) at this event. Please note that there will be no non-alcoholic options.

We’re thrilled to premiere three new commissions in association with the National Theatre of Scotland. Investigating the theme of ‘The Space Between’, these inventive performances by Gray Crosbie and Guy Woods, Catherine Street and Nancy Burns, and Sunnah Khan explore poetry in conversation with sound design, archives and film.
