The Space Between – New Poetic Performances
We’re delighted to premiere our three new poetry-led performance commissions in association with the National Theatre of Scotland. Investigating the theme of ‘The Space Between’, each performance explores poetry in conversation with a different artistic discipline.
Tits, by Gray Crosbie and Guy Woods, combines spoken word theatre with birdsong and sound design, exploring what it means to inhabit uncertainty; Sunnah Khan’s Terror Error interweaves poetry, archive, testimony and witness to respond to the events of 12 June 2026, when when four activists were sentenced as terrorists for the first time in British history; Spacial Murmurs by Catherine Street and Nancy Burns brings together poetry, voice and film to explore a wordless experience.

Known for compelling, innovative and original work, in recent collections Kim Moore and Charlotte Van den Broeck each explore the female body as contested landscape. Kim’s The House of Broken Things conjures an intimate atmosphere of haunted domesticity, while Charlotte’s The Inside of a Stone explores the emotional resonance between desert landscapes and womanhood.
