Obsidian Foundation Online Showcase
Don’t miss this online showcase bringing together poets from the Obsidian Foundation community to share their work and creative journeys. Hosted by Nick Makoha, we’ll be hearing work from Gemma Bedeau, Aphra Le Levier-Bennett, Ed Mabrey and Maureen Onwunali: four Obsidian alumni, who’ll be offering audiences a glimpse into the range of voices and writing emerging from the programme. We’ll be discussing the poets’ journeys, their work and the role of community, mentorship and development in their creative practice.
Obsidian is a one-week retreat for black poets of African descent, aiming to create a community of black creative diversity where poets are fully self-expressed free from racism.
