Paul Malgrati

Paul Malgrati is a Franco-Scottish poet and a lecturer in literature at the University of the Highlands and Islands. In 2020, he was shortlisted for the Edwin Morgan Poetry Award, which led to the publication of his debut, "Poèmes Écossais", with Blue Diode Press. Blending French and Scottish idioms and perspectives, this collection remains the only book of poems written in Scots by a non-native Anglophone. Since then, Paul worked on several academic volumes, including Robert Burns and Scottish Cultural Politics (Edinburgh University Press, 2023) and the forthcoming France and Scotland in Literature (Brill, 2027). He is currently working on a long multilingual poem, mixing philosophical, ecological and futuristic strands.
