Naomi Shihab Nye

Palestinian-American writer Naomi Shihab Nye has received a number of awards and accolades for her poetry, which has been described as "international in scope and internal in focus.” She has previously worked on the Isle of Mull as part of the Night Writers series organised by Phyllis Theroux, and performed at the Edinburgh International Book Festival. A longtime resident of Texas, Scotland is her favorite country. Her recent books are Sidekick, The Tiny Journalist, The Turtle of Michigan, and The Turtle of Oman.
