Cai Tianxin

Cai Tianxin is a Chinese poet, essayist, translator, and photographer, as well as a professor of mathematics at Zhejiang University. Cai has published over forty books of poetry, essays, travels, photography and autobiography, and has been translated and published into more than twenty languages, with nine books in English. He has published two autobiographies, Little Memories and Before Many a Summer. He founded the poetry magazine Apollinaire in China in 1995, and is a winner of the 2013 Naji Naaman Poetry Award (Beirut) and the 2019 Kadak Literature Award (Darka). Cai was a guest of the Arabic Capital of Culture in Baghdad in 2013, Frankfurt Book Fair in 2025 and the International Writing Program in Iowa in 2018.
