Amanda Holiday

Artist and poet Amanda Holiday studied Fine Art at Wimbledon School of Art in the 1980s before moving into film and scriptwriting. Her chapbook The Art Poems was published in 2018, and her writing has appeared in journals internationally. In 2020, she founded poetry press Black Sunflowers, focussed on publishing the work of outstanding women and black poets from around the world. The press was shortlisted for this year’s Michael Marks Publishers' Award. Amanda is currently completing a PhD in Poetry, Race and Art at the University of Brighton and sits on the committee of the Poetry and Spoken Word Group of the Society of Authors. www.amandaholiday.com
