Following an incredibly successful year for Push the Boat Out, one that saw us secure multi-year funding from Creative Scotland and deliver our busiest festival programme to date, we’re absolutely thrilled to welcome Ola Wojtkiewicz as the Chair of our Board of Directors.
Ola is an experienced arts director with over 25 years in the creative industries and currently serves as Executive Director at Creative Edinburgh, Scotland’s largest membership organisation for creative practitioners. Her appointment marks another major milestone for the Push the Boat Out as we continue to develop our vision for the years ahead.

Ola Wojtkiewicz is an experienced arts director with over 25 years in the creative industries and currently serves as Executive Director at Creative Edinburgh, Scotland’s largest membership organisation for creative practitioners. Since 2021, she has led the organisation’s strategic growth, business development, and a comprehensive review of its programmes and partnerships. Ola has a broad and accomplished career across the creative industries, culture and heritage sectors, international festivals, and higher education, where she has managed complex projects of national and international standing. Her portfolio includes curating exhibitions at the National Galleries of Scotland, leading academic research initiatives, and delivering large-scale cultural events. Skilled in visual arts curation, strategy development, lecturing, and leading through change, she is passionate about inclusive cultural debates, sustainable place-making and champions creativity as a catalyst for connection and community building.
