Shared Reading with Open Book
Fancy digging deeper into the amazing talent taking part in this year’s festival? Join Jess and Lizzie from Open Book for a gentle session of shared reading and discussion of poems by a selection of poets featured. Expect to go away with new favourites! No homework or experience is required.
Open Book organises shared reading and creative writing groups in community settings across Scotland, including community centres, libraries, multicultural spaces, prisons, in rural villages, and online. Join acclaimed poet Joelle Taylor for an intimate writing workshop exploring critical fabulation through a queer lens. Experimenting with approaches Joelle used in the collections Maryville and C+nto & Othered Poems, this workshop will look at how to create fictional universes in poetry, and how to explore queer identity as we build worlds.
