Vahid Davar

Vahid Davar is the author of Sefr-e Safar (The Book of Journeys, 2018) and Ahd-e Nassim (Nassim’s Testament, 2019) in Persian, and Something the Colour of Pines on Fire (2022) in English. His debut collection was highly commended for the Shamlou Prize in 2019, and Ahd-e Nassim formed part of Atlas of the World, RRHV (2022), an artist book which was exhibited at the British Museum and subsequently acquired by both the British Museum and the Museum of Art and History in Geneva. Vahid completed an MRes in Creative Writing at the University of Liverpool (2019) and a PhD in Iranian Studies at the University of St Andrews (2024). His third Persian poetry collection, Divān-e Eskātlandi (The Scottish Divan), is due to be published by Asemana in 2027.
