RED KING is a Glasgow-based rapper and producer blending grime, rap and electronic music into dark, introspective, high-energy sets, pairing sharp wordplay with heavy synths, hard bass and fast, dancefloor-driven impact. His live career reflects a relentless, DIY ethos. He has supported BRIT Award winner CASisDead, hip-hop pioneer Grandmaster Flash, and shared stages with artists including Talib Kweli, Manga St. Hilaire, Mic Righteous, SonnyJim and Aerospace. In 2024, he headlined Kelburn Festival’s Twin Teepees tent as part of a queer takeover, adapting his sound on the fly by remixing crowd classics like Blue Monday and Cry Me A River into garage and DnB while MCing over them.
