Rachel Plummer

Rachel Plummer is a poet, children’s author and creative writing teacher. They are a recipient of the Scottish Book Trust’s New Writers Award for poetry, and have had work published in a range of journals and anthologies including My Heart is a Poem, Courage in a Poem and Our Earth is a Poem (Little Tiger), New Writing Scotland (Association for Scottish Literature), Gods and Monsters – Mythological Poems (Pan MacMillan), Fourteen Poems to say I Love You (Candlestick Press) and The Emma Press Anthology of Love. Their first book, Wain, is a collection of LGBTQ+ retellings of Scottish folklore that was awarded a Cultural Commission from LGBT Youth Scotland, and was shortlisted for the CLPE Poetry Award. Their latest poetry collection, Once I Carried Three Crows, is published by Tapsalteerie. Their first picture book, The Big Day, is published by Little Tiger.
