Kate Ireland

Kate Ireland is a Glaswegian spoken-word artist whose work spans poetry, music and theatre. She has performed headline shows across the UK and supported artists including Antony Szmierek, Joshua Idahen and Jacob Alon on their UK tours. Her debut poetry collection, Adaptive Strategies for a Sensitive System, is published by Burning Eye Books, and her debut album, Self Regulating Behaviours, was released in 2024, blending electronic music with spoken word. Her acclaimed one-woman show, Golden Time (and Other Behavioural Management Strategies), premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2025 before transferring to the Roundhouse and HOME Manchester in 2026. Kate is the founder and creative director of Blether, a collective who use performance, crafts and storytelling to build community through play and ritual. www.kateireland.uk
