Kat Borrowdale

Kat Borrowdale is a circus theatre artist who loves to bring together visual elements with narrative and spoken word. Having performed with hula hoops in every continent, Kat founded Think Circus in 2017 and leads on their flagship projects including Girls Forest Circus, act creation and artist development. She has a degree in literature and language, and also studied physical theatre practice, which further kindled her interest in ensemble and multi-disciplinary work. Kat was part of a small team leading the ground-breaking Commonwealth Youth Circus project, led participant communications for NVA's Speed of Light, and has devised and delivered community participation circus projects such Circus of Lights, Circus from the Sea and To the Four Corners. She also featured as a circus artist and creative lead for Imagined Bodies, a digital production exploring body image in circus professionals. Her written work explores her deep fascination with the collision of human psychology and future technology.
